Values & Decision Making II: Exploring The Idea Of Sexual Limits

Procedure:

1. Write "Sexual Limits" on the board or on a sheet of flipchart paper. Ask the participants what phrase means to them. Write these ideas on the board or flipchart paper.

Sexual Limits are sexual behaviours that are acceptable or unacceptable to a person. Sexual limits are influenced by values. Just as everyone has their own unique set of values, each person's sexual limits are also unique.

2. Ask:

3. Write "Jon's Values" on the board along with the three values listed below. Go through these values one by one and ask the group how each value may express itself in Jon's sexual limits.


Example

Jon's values:
Long-term commitment
Traditional religious values
Monogamy

Jon's sexual limits:
Sex belongs only in a committed relationship
Wait until married
No cheating
