Media: is a word used to describe all means of mass communication such as television, movies, the internet, billboards, newspapers, magazines, radio, and newsletters. It's a tool that people use to communicate messages to the general public. Just as there is great diversity among people, there could be great diversity in the messages sent through the media. However, which messages are sent is decided by the people who pay for the media. These messages are created by people and meant to help the people who pay for the messages achieve their goals. It's important to be aware of this so that you can be a smart consumer of media. |
